Tzatziki

Published by Marta on 27/07/18

Thirty years ago, in my only trip to Greece, there were two things, in a gastronomic plan, that I loved: Tzatziki and pita bread. I like pita bread more, which is not like Arabic that opens and can be filled. But I leave it for another recipe.

I brought a Greek cookbook (they have it in all the languages you can imagine) and today I present the Tzatziki. It is a Greek yogurt salad with cucumber, garlic and vinegar. It’s like a sauce but the Greeks (in my Greek cookbook) classify it as a salad

Here I accompany the Tzatziki with Mariñeiras cookies that are great.

Ingredients

Servings 5 serves

  • 450 g Greek yoghurt
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
