Curried rice with vegetables
How to cook a recipe of rice with vegetables, spiced with curry powder
Servings: 4 people
- 240 g rice
- 50 g onion finely chopped
- 3 young garlic finely chopped
- 1 carrot finely chopped
- 5 mushroom chopped
- 1 tomato crunch
- 1 tsp sugar
- curry powder
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 750 g water
Heat the olive oil in a paella pan or deep frying pan to fry lightly the vegetables.
Add the vegetables one by one, waiting a minute or two before adding the next, in this order: onion, young garlics, carrot, green beans and mushrooms.
Srpinkle the grated tomato with a pinch of sugar and the same amout of salt, and add to the paella pan. Cover and let cook gently all together for around 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the rice and fry gently for a minute or two, pour the water, season with salt and curry to taste and let boil.
Once it starts to boil, cook for 17 to 20 minutes.
When it is ready, let settle, covered, for 5 minutes.
