  • 5 mackerel breaded and fried
  • 8 clove garlic
  • 4 leaves bay
  • olive oil
  • vinegar
  • sweet paprika
  • flour to bread

Step by step instructions

Fry the mackerels

  • First cut the mackerels in slices
  • Season with salt. Flour the slices.
  • Fry the mackerel slices in olive oil.


  • Warm up 2 glasses of olive oil in a frying pan.
  • Add a tablespoon of sweet Spanish paprika and stir. The oil must be not too hot to avoid burning the paprika.
  • Let the olive oil cool down and add 1 glass of vinegar. Stir.
  • Cut the bay leaves into pieces and fillet the cloves.

Finishing the dish

  • In a clay pot put a layer of pieces of cloves and bay leaves. Next a layer of mackerel slices. Repeat until there are no more ingredients left.
  • Pour the mixture of olive oil, paprika and vinegar into the pot.
  • Let settle, at least, for 12 hours.
